چکیده
Introduction: Cardiorespiratory fitness is an indicator of cardiovascular health, usually expressed as VO2max. VO2max the capacity our body to transport and utilize oxygen during maximal exertion. The present study attempts assess level physical activity cardiorespiratory in medical students compare between physically active insufficiently students.
Materials Methods: An observational cross sectional was conducted 246 (123 males females each) age 18 23 years National Medical College, Birgunj. After obtaining ethical clearance, screening done with American College Sports Medicine participants questionnaire. Students were classified by using Global Physical Activity Questionnaire. calculated from recovery heart rate counted fifth twentieth second after step test. Finally, subjects categorized into different based on their values.
Results: Present found 33.6% students. Females had higher prevalence insufficient (40.6%) than (26.8%). male female 46.79 ± 8.98 36.15 4.66 ml/Kg/min respectively. Majority ‘average’ whereas male, distribution almost equal ‘excellent’, ‘good’ ‘fair’ category.
Conclusion: Around one-third did not meet recommended WHO for health. them those better fitness.

Assessment of some pulmonary parameters and cardiorespiratory fitness status in Nepalese medical students.
Some pulmonary function tests along with cardio respiratory fitness test were performed to assess the health status of the young (19-21 years) non-smokers Nepalese medical students. Results revealed that the vital capacity was 3.46 liters and 2.40 liters among the boys and girls respectively. PEFR was found to be 597.98 l/min among the boys and 456.53 l/min among the girls. Likewise, VO2 max am...

AIMS To determine if adolescents with and without Down syndrome (DS) accomplish the physical activity (PA) guidelines and to evaluate relationships between PA and cardiorespiratory variables. METHODS 42 adolescents (27 with DS) participated in this study. PA was measured using accelerometers. Walking-graded treadmill protocol with a breath-by-breath gas analyzer was employed to assess cardior...
متن کاملPhysical activity, cardiorespiratory fitness, and the metabolic syndrome in youth.
The metabolic syndrome is defined as the coexistence of multiple cardiovascular and diabetes risk factors, the prevalence of which has increased dramatically in adult populations in the last decades. More recently, the same cluster of metabolic risk factors has also been recognized in children and adolescents. Epidemiological evidence suggests that high levels of cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF)...

The demographic landscape of the United States is undergoing a transformative shift. As a nation, we are becoming older (Center for Disease Control and Prevention/ National Center for Health Statistics [CDC] 2009; Goulding et al. 2003), less active (Pleis and Lucas 2009), and more overweight/obese (CDC 2010). For example, the proportion of the population aged 65 years or older is projected to i...
